Im not sure if anyones had a problem such as mine, you're out filming in some weird location. I may be public, but it also may be private property that you have every right to film on, and a group of cheeky little brats decide that they need to interrupt you. Why is this? Why do people want to be annoying? Why cant people shut up? But, the bigger question is, how do you make them go away? Now, Im fairly strong, I have a numbers on my side, Im usually older than them, but I’m a non-violent person, and I dont want to gain the rep of a brut of a puck, so I try talking with them, explaining what we are doing, but they wont listen! How could I solve such a dilemma?

i remember there where loads of film crew on the main road in the town and everyone was standing in a circle waiting for the mp to be interviewed and we would get on tv, but right at the last moment they turned the camcorda 180% and filmed in the other direction so theres one tick tak - tack tic.
you could film behind something a tree, a van, so they cant see you. Or just pretened to pak up and leave and when they go shot. I've seen many a time when mass audiances watch on. And the runner quiten them down, or they take the "other hear, hay" out in post. thats all i can offer.

Ask them if they want to be in the film, if they say yes schedule their shots for after your other stuff and try to get them to be silent or you won't get to their stuff. Then when the time comes pretend to shoot but don't waste your film on them, or interview them on camera with annoying questions that will make them squirm.

What Im running with now is explaining that what they're doing is harassment. It's against the law, I mean, you wouldn’t go up to a nature artist and kick his stand over, or spill soda on his drawling, would you? Plus, if someone is talking to them, they cant harass and listen at the same time.

people are not a very nice persons in general, though thank god you dont have chavs in the u.s ive had people threaten me for my camera, though they scarped when the rest of the 10 man film crew came from behind a garage we were shooting at.
generally when they jump and shout i turn the camera on them and ask there names, and address and how thye wish to pay for the film they are wasting, since most dont realise im using minidv, lol. that gets em to leave quick enough.
