I posted in a forum to see where anyone went to a film shool an if they did how many shorts they did or films, over 100 people viewed the post but no one answered, is it a good thing to go to film school or should you spend the money on the film??

The primary benefit of film school is probably the people you meet. You won't get hired to make a movie just because you went to a film school (though if you went to one of the big and famous ones I'm sure it will help), but if your mate goes on to become a producer, they might hire you because they know you from school... or you might get hired by someone else because you made a great short film while you were there.

the london film school is worth it but other than that i dunno.
i myself enrolled, albiet a year late, at my local college, passed a/s level film and media studies with a b and a c grade respectivly and after getting good as or better grades this eyar at a2 level,i hope, i plan to enrol at a university to take a undergrad degree in film and television studies as not only does this give you a broader knowledge of film, but there are practical areas of work and some colleges like the univeristy of east anglia have working studios to work in and all have job placements during the course in the film and tv industry, granted you have the 18,000 to pay off but since its like £1.75 a week in your first not so well paying job i think its well worth it to get my dream job making films to entetain people.
