My fav film ever is "the thing" my dad told me never to watch it cos its so scary but i had to. Its original, its got new ideas, it plays with your paranoya like no other film, its monster is like no other, and all the cast can act with great scenary. Also directed by John Carpenter. Also it hasn't got a cheesy ending. And its watchable not one of those films that make you jump from using cheap tactics (jumping into scene or using high pitched noises). Synopsis At a research station in Antarctica a team of scientists find an alien being that has fallen from the sky and been buried in the ice for 100,000 years. Soon they discover that the alien is able to possess its victims. Based on the original 1951 film directed by Christian Nyby.

Edward Scissorhands is definatly one of my favourite movies ever! Dir. Tim Burton Starring. Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder Sypnosis: Edward Scissorhands is a creation of an old inventor (Vincent Price) who passes on before he can finish Edward(Johnny Depp). Edward is one day discovered by Peg Boggs, a curious Avon lady, who takes Edward home to suburbia.

"the thing" is a great movie. I have a hard time coming up with only one all time favorite. So, I have a list: Romeros Dawn of the Dead, Halloween, Back to the Future. I love them all and own them all on DVD and I watch them way more than I should.

I loved Romero's Dawn of the Dead myself, but I just couldn't understand why they would have target practice in the icerink against manicans instead of on the roof against zombies. Might as well help deal with the problem while you're wasting bullets. Would have been helpful before they tried to seal up the mall. The noise might even have drawn some zombies outside making sealing it easier.
They had a similar problem in the remake. Andy the gunshop guy should have been going to town with his low calibre ammo. .22 to the head should kill a zombie, without hurting his shoulder too much. He's got time, and a scope, nothing to do, and the zombies are a serious problem. Who knows, after a month the zombie problem might have been solved in that area, at least enough that he could safely go to the mall or whatever.
